Over the years, the management of the Group, represented by Chairman Shan Jianming, has paid great attention to people’s suffering. He often remarks: the greater the cause, the greater the need for ideological advancement, and we must establish a correct concept of wealth.
In 2003 “SARS” struck and Mizuda Group took the lead and donated 1.2 million Yuan to the Municipal Charity Association. For years, Mizuda has engaged in the employment of 1,300 laid-off workers, while recruiting more than 2,000 rural youth for employment; Chairman Shan Jianming has donated funds to establish Hope Primary Schools in Sichuan, Hubei, Yunnan and Guizhou and initiated the Group’s establishment of scholarships for outstanding students in Shanghai Donghua University and Zhejiang University of Technology.
In the past 20 years, Mizuda has donated nearly 70 million Yuan to the Municipal Charity Association and other social welfare initiatives. Initiated by Chairman Shan Jianming, Mizuda has set up the “Mizuda Medical Relief Fund for Rural Residents with Difficulties” with a total investment of 10 million Yuan.
